Quimobásicos was founded in 1961 in Monterrey, Mexico, as a result of the vision of the Cydsa Group in a strategic alliance with Honeywell. Our main focus is the manufacturing and marketing of fluorocarbon refrigerant gases under the Genetron® brand for domestic consumption and for the needs of Central and South America and the Caribbean.
We are the only refrigerant gas manufacturer in Mexico, and at our Monterrey plant, we use Honeywell’s fluorocarbon processing technology.
The work of Quimobásicos and Genetron® refrigerants is to consolidate the industry leadership built during our first 57 years of success while contributing with ecologically viable solutions to the conservation, well-being, and comfort needed in people’s lives.

Our first task with Quimobásicos was to sell them on the brand idea, to convince them of the immense value that could be derived from a strong brand identity. To meet the growing demands of their business and economic environment, they needed a marketing and advertising approach designed for maximum scalability. So we developed a comprehensive strategy to meet their objectives: logo design, web development, mobile updates, and QR code integration, both online and across their product lines. We also designed and developed a new social media strategy and launched an epic print marketing campaign throughout Mexico—their first in fifty years.
